Welcome Wells photo attached to a card. Welcome is seated holding a cane. Picture is scuffed and worn
On back is handwritten, “Mr. Welcome Wells, 90 years, Sept 17th, 1898. Lived to be 94 years. Came to Manhattan 1857. Run the first hotel in town and Horace Greeley stopped at their hotel on his famous (Go West Young Man) trip.”
